This yacht has been tested on 08-03-2016 by an Expert Pleziervaartuigen. During this extensive test the yacht was assessed on a number of components:
Conclusion of condition test
The condition test of the yacht as carried out has at the present time resulted in the following (final) assessment:
We love sailing. We used to sail a lot on the Markermeer and the IJsselmeer. We live in The Hague, and in 2009 we moved to Scheveningen, to a place very near the harbour. We wanted to sail on the North Sea from our hometown. For that reason we bought our Etap in 2011.
It is a reliable boat and a fast sailer: "This long, sleek ocean-going yacht sails superbly close to the wind, yet it is also a thoroughbred cruiser designed for extended cruising."
The typical Etap sandwich hull and deck make the yacht very stiff and very well isolated. This makes her safe (unsinkable) and comfortable (silent and dry).
In 2013 we finally got our place in the harbour of Scheveningen. North Sea her we come! Sailing on the North Sea appeared quite a challenge for my wife. She didn't join me on my trips as often as I expected. Sailing solo is great for some people, but we want to enjoy sailing together. The boat is great, but the whole crew has to enjoy the trip. Therefore we return to Muiderzand, to smaller water, with a smaller boat, mainly for daytrips.
We started sailing the Tina Mare the first three years from Muiderzand on the Markermeer and the IJsselmeer. In 2014 and 2015 we sailed from Scheveningen on the North Sea.
We own the yacht since 2011. The Tina Mare had two owners before us.
Yes, the yacht has been without any accident.
The Etap is a fast sailer and is easy going at sea. You can sail the boat easily solo
I din't like the exceptional lazy-bag with integrated lazy jacks fitted to to the mainsail. I freed the main from this unnecessary wrapping and use a normal hood. Is is much better when sailing and just as practical ashore.
We didn't need to do much about the boat. We had the saildrive manchet replaced, installed a new toilet and added a colorplotter at the pedestal near the wheel.
Apart from that just the yearly winterservice for the motor.
In 2013 the boat was ashore. She is going back there to clean the hull and put anti fouling.
The boat name is Tina Mare. It was the name of the boat when we bought her. It is a good custom not to change a boat name. The name has no special meaning.
For me the Tina Mare is a nice, well build yacht with excellent sailing qualities, perfectly suited to sail at sea. My wife appreciates the nice and light interior and the finish and details and the big panoramic window in the saloon.
