What’s the reason for selling the yacht?

After a full time livaboard sailing adventure of 18 months, we now live back on land and sell Amica. We aim to keep on sailing a lot in holidays and will be exploring the dutch Waddenzee with a traditional family shoal draft sailboat.

Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?

We sailed with our young kids (age 1 and 3) from 2023-2024 from northeast Italy, by Croatia, Montenegro and Greece to Turkey. From there we crossed the Mediterranean Sea to Gibraltar and in the summer of 2024 we sailed to the Netherlands along the Altantic coast of Spain, Portugal and France and the UK.

Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?

We are the owner since January 2023, we are the 5th owner

Has the yacht been without any accident?

What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?

It is a sporty and reliable ship that is easy to sail single handed from the enclosed cockpit, this was very important to us with two young children. When we had friends on board there was always enough space indoors and outdoors for fun and sportive sailing with a larger crew.

How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?

While we lived aboard we maintained and improved Amica to make her perform at her best. We are regatta sailors like things running smoothly. Because we lived on the boat for a long time with small children, safety and reliability was key so we invested in preventive maintenance as well.

Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?

When we bought Amica in the winter of 2022/2023, it was on the hard. In the winter of 2023/2024 we continued sailing in the south-east of Greece and Turkey.

What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?

Amica, Italian for 'friend'
