What’s the reason for selling the yacht?

For health reasons, I unfortunately have to retire from sailing after over 55 years. It's too physically demanding, so I've only sailed twice in the past year...

Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?

Markermeer, IJsselmeer, Waddenzee, Noordzee

Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?

I'm the second owner. I bought the Alk in 2023 from the first owner, who was terminally ill (and has since passed away).
It's my third Victoire.

Has the yacht been without any accident?

Damage-free. The entire history from construction onward (including construction photos) is known and documented.

What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?

Koopmans design...that is, a safe, reliable boat with good handling in rough seas and a bit more wind. Due to the relatively high ballast weight, the boat is definitely a safe sailingyacht

How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?

everything is documented.

Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?

What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?

Alk (dutch) is a bird. That's how the boat was named in 1996. My previous Victoire was called Blauwe Pinquin...also a bird. That's why I didn't change the name of the Alk.

Other remarks:

A very solidly built ship. Yachtbuilder Victoria was known for its solid ships (thick polyester hulls) and beautiful interiors.
