INTERVIEW WITH SELLER

What’s the reason for selling the yacht?
In the coming years we want to visit various countries with the camper in Europe.
We do sale with pain in our hearts and already know that we will miss sailing, the fellow sailors, and visiting beloved places and islands.
But with the camper we are heading for a new adventure.
Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?
Our sailing area is the IJsselmeer and the Wadden. Terschelling in particular could count on our arrival at least twice a year.
Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?
We bought our ship new in 2006 at Holland Sailing in Workum.
We are the first owner and have always sailed it alone and with great pleasure.
Has the yacht been without any accident?
The ship has always been damage free.
What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?
Thanks to the vertically battened furling mainsail, furling genoa and Raymarine autopilot, the ship is easy to sail alone. Has an ideal length and is very stable even in heavier weather conditions.
The spacious and bright interior makes a stay on the ship, even for a long period, extremely pleasant.
How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?
I carry out the simple maintenance myself, such as the annual oil change and the installation of new fuel and oil filters.
An invoice is available for all other activities
Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?
Every ones in the two years the ship goes ashore for the application of a new antifouling and cleaning.
What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?
We have chosen the name Zilt because it is a beautiful name and you can breathe in the wonderful salty air on the mudflats.
Other remarks:
We also sell our berth in the Regatta Center in Medemblik. One of the most beautiful marinas in the Netherlands. You can also exchange this berth for a temporary or long period for a berth in Amsterdam Marina, Rotterdam Marina, Marina Schokkerstrand or Marina Stellendam. We offer the berth for the attractive price of € 20,000 (for comparison: the marina sells comparable places for € 28,000 or rents them for € 2,800 per year).
