- What’s the reason for selling the yacht?
- My wife has reduced interest in sailing and my son is busy with his career. I have decided to change over to a motor sloop
- Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?
- The boat was launched for the first time in 2001 in Cape Town, South Africa. She has sailed around this area and completed a crossing to the Azores and then to the Netherlands. Initially the yacht was based on the Markermeer and alter in Enkhuizen on the Ijselmeer. SHe has voyaged the Belgium Coasts, cross channel crossings, the English coast, Wadden sea, Fresian canals and the Overijssel.
- Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?
- I am the original owner from build.
- Has the yacht been without any accident?
- There has been no accidents. The boat is fully insured until April 2021
- What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?
- She is easy to handle. The rudder is a balanced spade and with the fin keel she is very responsive and has a tight turning circle. She is responsive when going astern under motor. She has looked after me in extreme weather and I have confidence in sailing her in a gale. With the fin keel you have to make sure her sails are balanced. The sail controls are all there for fine adjustments. The boat is classified as a cruiser racer and at the time was designed as the smallest yacht allowed for the Cape to Rio race
- How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?
- I have maintained the yacht myself. This entailed running prescribed services on the engine. The boat is hauled out every winter and the old anti-fouling is stripped off and repainted. The anodes are checked and replaced before launch. Sails are maintained by a sail loft. Major preventative maintainance/replacements was done by professionals.

- Emma is the name of a great aunt who, as a brave young teenager went traveling across the Kalahari desert in 1895, to find her father who had been reportedly killed by a leopard.
- Other remarks:
- The underwater hull was professionally coated before original launch with five coats of International Gelshield 200. The yacht needs no other charger than her wind turbine. This keeps her batteries topped up. The wiring in the yacht is multi-strand tinned coppe,r to aircraft standard. Full set of detailed manuals included.
