INTERVIEW WITH SELLER

What’s the reason for selling the yacht?

We are selling the ONJ with a heavy heart because shortly after the purchase, and contrary to our expectations, we gained access to a farm in Sweden. All our free time is now spent on that. So unfortunately, there is no more room for this beautiful ship.

Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?

We, and as far as I can judge, our predecessors have mainly sailed in the lake area of North Holland and Utrecht.

Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?

We believe that we, since 2020, are the fifth owner. The original owner named the ship Speo. After that, the ship came into the hands of Mr. Snoek and was renamed Snelle Snoek. Subsequently, Jeroen Pauw named the ship after his co-presenter, Paul Witteman. The next owner retained the name Whiteman. When we took over the ship from Jan Slagter, we felt less comfortable with that name and named the ship after my boat-crazy uncle Tetman, who passed away too young.

Has the yacht been without any accident?

Yes

What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?

It's a wonderful ship with a very powerful engine (we haven't tried it ourselves, but we've been told that you can water ski behind it) and fantastic manoeuvrability thanks to the bow and stern thrusters.

How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?

Well maintained and yes, there are invoices.

Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?

Yes, every year since we owned it (2020)

What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?

We named the ship after my boat-crazy uncle Tetman Hettema, a painter from Amsterdam, who passed away too young.
