- General condition
- More than sufficient
INTERVIEW WITH SELLER
- What’s the reason for selling the yacht?
- She's unfortunately too small. I'm gonna need a bigger boat.
- Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?
- Baltic Sea, river Elbe, North Sea.
- Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?
- I got the Lost Friend July 2012. I know of 2 previous owners. It could well be there were more.
- Has the yacht been without any accident?
- The yacht has had no accidents.
- What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?
- For me personally the Lost Friend is the most fun with at least 25 knots blowing. A remaining bright orange reef in the main sail. The bright orange storm Jib up to do some beautiful sailing. Or using the 40hp engine against 45knots of wind and waves a couple of hours. Then turn around and sail with the wind and waves. Just before reaching the harbor sail parallel to the wind and waves, tack until I've sweat enough. Enter the harbor (most exciting part) then whilst enjoying a Gin and Tonic realizing how beautiful it is to still be alive.
- How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?
- The engine by the Volvo Penta dealer that installed the new engine. The rig by a professional rigger. And all other work done by Die Werft.
- Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?
- Once every year. Mostly in summer when all other yachts are in the water and it was completely empty on land.
- What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?
- "Lost Friend"
For the friends we have already lost. The friends we are still going to lose. But also for that lost friend that always finds his/her way home. And just because I think it's funny and really quite sympathetic calling over the radio: This is the sailing yacht "Lost Friend" - Other remarks:
- The Lost Friend is a special kind of sailing/motor yacht in which I've invested more than 170.000EUR to renew and strengthen pretty much everything. So you can enjoy sailing independent of the weather.
