LOCATIE

INTERVIEW WITH SELLER

What’s the reason for selling the yacht?
Now that we have prepared the boat for longer trips, we are unfortunately forced to sell it purely due to health problems.
Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?
IJsselmeer, Wadden Sea, North Sea, and Zeeland. We also loved staying for longer periods as "city nomads" in places like Amsterdam, Haarlem, or Rotterdam, especially during the winter months. This is very feasible thanks to the excellent heating system.
Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?
Personally, I know of 2 previous owners. Before that, there was one more in Germany. That makes me at least the 4th owner.
Has the yacht been without any accident?
As far as I know, it has been damage-free.
What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?
The boat has a long keel, which makes her a fantastic sailor. She is robust and reaches a top speed of 7-8 knots. There is a very nice bow thruster that makes maneuvering in smaller harbors easy.
How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?
There is documented maintenance, and many important invoices are available.
Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?
Yes.
What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?
Rán is a Norse sea goddess from the Vanir family in Norse mythology.
Other remarks:
As mentioned, we are parting with our beloved boat with a heavy heart. We still occasionally keep in touch with the previous owner. There was never any hesitation to call with questions, and we sometimes visited them and lay side by side in a harbor. We hope the next owner will also want to continue this tradition, for as long as possible.
