What’s the reason for selling the yacht?
In recent years we have hardly ever used the boat. Last year we only used it for 2 days. We have also had a camper for a few years now and we notice that we currently prefer to travel with the camper.
It is therefore time that someone else started to enjoy this fantastic, lavishly executed ship.
Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?
Markermeer, IJsselmeer, Waddenzee, Frisian waters. We once went away by boat for a summer vacation; that was to Denmark.
Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?
The first and only. The boat was built in 2004 and delivered in 2005.
Has the yacht been without any accident?
Of course there are signs of use; we have never had any damage.
What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?
Lovely sailing boat; due to the sail lining and deep keel, you can sail quickly yet stable. During a flotilla holiday to Denmark, the other boat owners looked a bit sorry for the Bavaria that was also on board. Once it was realized that we were always the last to leave the port of departure, but were also always the first to return to the port of destination, the compassionate looks turned into those of admiration. I think we boosted the Bavaria image during that trip.
How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?
Regular services. Yes.
Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?
About every 2 years on shore for engine maintenance, new antifouling, etc.
What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?
We wanted to have an original name that we wouldn't come across again. That has been successful so far.
Other remarks:
All cabins are equipped with special latex mattresses with ventilation system, not the simple original Bavaria mattresses.
