FRAGEBOGEN VERKAUFER

What’s the reason for selling the yacht?
Very sad to say, but this beautiful jacht is becoming a little too small for us. We want to make big long journeys with our kids and their friends, so we bought a larger yacht. However this Baltic is a joy to sail and super fast. We will miss her sailing qualities compared to the more touring yacht we bought now.
Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?
For us in recent years mainly around the IJsselmeer and a bit of the Wadden Sea. Mostly fresh water.
Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?
I think we are the third owner and we bought the boat in 2017.
Has the yacht been without any accident?
Yes
What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?
Very fast sailing IOR design yacht. She steers beautifully and is easy to control. The reef-able genua (130%), which can be rolled up in two steps, using woven foam parts, is very nice.
How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?
All invoices available. This yacht has been thoroughly refitted, with new engine (Volvo Penta 4 cylinder, sail drive), new sails, completely new teak deck, new equipment (Ray Marine), etc.
Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?
Every year on shore. The ship has a custom full winter cover made in 2021.
What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?
Ballerina (Baltic)
Other remarks:
This is a MK2 2nd series Baltic 39, where they raised the cabin roof by 5-10 cm, compared to MK1 series 1, to create more headroom. The Baltic 39 is the best-selling Baltic model ever.
https://www.balticyachts.fi/yachts/baltic-39/ :
"The Baltic 39 was a medium displacement performance design aiming at general all-round sailing with a slightly greater emphasis on upwind characteristics than our earlier Baltic Yachts models.
The design incorporated a high ballast ration and a high aspect ratio fin keel. The accommodation layout of the Baltic 39 was generous for a boat of that size incorporating a full owner’s cabin aft with complete privacy.
The Baltic 39 was one of the first serial production yachts that were designed and performance evaluated using computer programs. Full VPP studies were executed resulting in both polar plots and performance in numbers. In addition to producing a good basis for design optimizations, the result from the computer studies also gave racing clients polars and performance numbers representing valuable targets for racing."

They no longer make series of yachts like this. If you look at the details in/on a Baltic, you will notice that no expense has been spared. All screws point in the same direction, the "toe rail" has no sharp edges anywhere and all the wood is made by real craftsmen. At that time there were no comparable yachts, except Swan.

This specific Baltic 39 is the only one (that I know) with a full teak deck, including cabin roof. In addition, fully built cupboards on both sides in the saloon and additional cupboards above the sink in the galley.
