FRAGEBOGEN VERKAUFER

What’s the reason for selling the yacht?
We started sailing the boat with absolute pleasure in inland waters of The Netherlands, the North Sea, the French and Spanish Atlantic coast and the Mediterranean.
We enjoyed especially the interior room and space of the ship, compared to her compact exterior dimensions.
From 2021 we sailed the boat back from Italy and Spain to Holland. This was a perfect finish of many years of carefree sailing.
We are now looking forward to new experiences in Europe on land.
Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?
We started 16 years ago on the inland waters of Holland. After increasing our experience we started to expand our horizon to the Dutch coastal waters and the East coast of England. We wanted to get more long distance sailing experience and started to follow the French coast to the Bay of Biskay, Spanish Atlantic coast and entering the Mediterranean south of Gibraltar. We sailed the western Mediterranean, North African coast and east until South Italy.
Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?
We are the first and original owners of the ship since 2006. We never rented her out, nor has she sailed without us on board. So we are sure that no mishaps occurred.
Has the yacht been without any accident?
Absolutely! We never hit someone or something. Sailing carefully is paramount in the Med, as the bottom there is rocky. Manoeuvring with care near shallows and in small harbours is important. Fortunately the Western Mediterranean is not as crowded with pleasure yachts as e.g. Greece, so chances of incidents are less.
What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?
The ship is easy to sail and forgiving in any wind and water conditions. It carries a lot of square meters of sail in relation to its weight and dimensions, so best is to reef the sails early. Then she keeps an even keel and profits from the designed waterline in stead of tilting and loosing speed. When you do this, if necessary in stronger winds even with a second reef, the ship will give you confidence in all conditions. We never felt unsafe and she keeps her speed with the sail reefed.
How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?
All necessary maintenance has been carried out over the years. If requested we are willing to present the maintenance bill before we left from Denia in Spain back to The Netherlands.
Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?
When we arrived in the Mediterranean we found the best solution to use the boat was to sail it once or twice a yaer for a couple of weeks at a time. Distances in the Med are substantial and of course traveling to and from the harbour, where the boat was left, is a consideration of time and possibilities. Having the boat on shore was therefor sensible and also beneficial for the boats condition. Each time before we arrived the boat was maintained, prepared, lowered into the water and thus ready to be sailed.
What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?
We called her “2Rome”, meaning “to roam” and “to Rome”, which we did.
Other remarks:
Very fine, safe and comfartable ship for longer stays, journeys and family trips. Special are the two separate bathrooms and the interior height of the cabins
Sailing characteristics are fine in all conditions and on all open waters. Always felt safe. At the same time the ship is compact and easy to manoeuvre around and in small harbours; the originally fitted side power makes handling even more pleasurable.
