What’s the reason for selling the yacht?

The yacht will be sold because of my age

Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?

Markermeer, IJsselmeer, Scandinavia, England, France and the Hallberg Rassy moved with me to the USA.

Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?

I am the second owner since 2009

Has the yacht been without any accident?

In America I had some damage by the keel but this is repaired by the insurance company (2015)

What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?

The Hallberg Rassy is sailing well en for all I felt always very safe

How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?

In The Netherlands she has been maintained always till two years ago by Orange Nautical, after that in Marina Muiderzand and also in the USA the maintenance is always done by a company. Invoices unfortunately are not available anymore.

Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?

Every winter she was out of the water and from 2009 to 2012 and from 2017 to 2019 she was also inside.

What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?

Siri Reis was an admiral and carthograph in Istanbul (the chart of Piri Reis is also on board)
