INTERVIEW WITH SELLER

What’s the reason for selling the yacht?
We have been the owner of the boat for 20 years, in the early years we have spent the holidays and weekends with the 3 kids on the boat, later with the two of us. We now have bought an appartment in Spain. This will be delivered to us in may. We are intending to spent a considerable part of our time in Spain. Fot this reason and because my wife has over the years build some fear when we are sailing we have decided to sell the boat, for me with pain in my heart.
Where have you been sailing (sailing area)?
In the beginning our sailing area has been the IJsselmeer, the Wadden Sea and the coastel waters of The Netherlands, Belgium and France upto Normandy. Through the years as my wife build less comfortable on the water we have limited our sailing area to the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea.
Since when are you the owner of the yacht? How many owners?
We are the first owners. We had rented a sailing boat a couple of times in The Netherlands and Greece and have bought our own new Bavaria in 2004.
Has the yacht been without any accident?
Thanks god we never have had an accident
What can you tell about the sailing characteristics?
As we sail for fun during our holidays the boat was perfect and easy to handle, even better when we had the bow thruster installed.
How is the yacht maintained, are there any invoices available concerning the maintenance?
We always had our boat maintained by De Klerk Jachtservice in Medemblik. The owner, Peter de Klerk, stopped and is enjoying his retirement since one and a half year.
Was the yacht regularly ashore during winterperiods? Every year?
Every other year
What is the boat name and the (special) meaning of this name?
Clochard, the french word for wanderer
